After the two naval patrol vessels visiting the harbour for the Maritime Festival it was good to see another arrive less than a month later. HMS Exploit (P167) built by Vosper Thornycroft is seen here on the Sugar Tongue in front of the Candlestick monument.
This Archer class (P2000) patrol vessel is affiliated to Birmingham university as one of 14 University Royal Naval Units giving undergraduates training in naval skills.
