This balcony is at the back of Mansion House, the doctors surgery on Irish Street. Once part of Copeland Council's old building, the curved bay windows now overlook their new car park. The building also known as 19-20 Irish street was designed by Sydney Smirke in the 19th century. Apart from the balconies the back is much more plain than the High Renaissance revival at the front.
