Bardywell Lane lies just behind the Quay Street car-park and is no longer occupied. Also known just as Bardy Lane it is named simply after a family called Bardy who owned the property which had a well and is one of the older streets. It is now a dead-end off West Strand but originally crossed Littledale Lane and went as far as Swinburn Court.
