This year Egremont's Medieval Festival took place around the ruins of the Norman Castle which stands on a hill by the River Ehen. The procession moved down main street past the castle, over the bridge and onto Bleach Green field used by Egremont Rugby Union Club. A wide range of entertainments took place over the 3 days of   May Bank Holiday. This included re-enactments and demonstrations on the field supported by numerous traders plus a medieval banquet.
